Full Version: How to protect zippers when Setting up pyramid tents?
You're currently viewing a stripped down version of our content. View the full version with proper formatting.
First, use the correct construction methods and steps to build pyramid tents:

  1. Spread the hexagonal tent evenly and lay it on the ground
  2. Close all the doors of the tent, and then nail the floor
  3. After nailing, open the door and put in the brace
  4. Adjust the position of the ground nail to make the tent bear the force evenly

Inspection required after construction:

1. Check whether the doors on both sides can be easily combined by hand after the zipper is opened. If the zipper cannot be combined by hand, the direct use of the zipper will cause great damage to the zipper.
2. Check the stress of zippers on both sides of the tent door. The zippers on both sides should be stressed evenly and should not be too tight. If the zipper is too tight, it may cause damage to the zipper and affect the service life of the zipper. If the zipper is too tight, part of the tooth heads cannot be combined after the zipper is closed, the tooth heads are wrongly divided, and the two tooth heads are stuck in one position.
3. Check whether there are rags or small branches and leaves on the zipper. Protecting the zipper can greatly increase the service life of the tent.
4. Check whether the tooth head of the zipper is missing.
5. After closing the zipper, check whether the zipper is smoothly combined. If it is not combined, the zipper may have slightly increased deformation and need to be repaired.

Measures to be taken:

  1. If the doors on both sides cannot be combined, please adjust the position of the ground nail until the doors on both sides can be easily combined, so as to ensure the long-term use of the tent zipper.
  2. If the zippers of the doors on both sides are under uneven stress, please adjust the position of the floor nail. Uniform stress can make the use of tent zippers more smooth and simple.
  3. If the zipper is not smoothly combined after the zipper is closed, the zipper head may be slightly deformed during long-term use, and the chain head can be properly clamped with pliers.

Protecting the zipper of the tent can increase the service life of the tent. Because the ground nails at the bottom corner of the pyramid tent may be built into an irregular shape, it increases the difficulty of building and using the pyramid tent. It is hoped that the above methods and operations can increase the campers' protection of tent zippers.
