It is a very bad thing that the tent center pole suddenly breaks or bends while camping. Once the center pole of the tent is broken, the tent will be difficult to support. Common tent center poles include iron poles and aluminum poles. Iron poles are heavier. Generally, everyone may think that iron poles are stronger. In fact, aluminum poles are relatively sturdy and light in weight.
The tent center pole is connected by a rubber cord called a shock cord. Impact wires can stretch or tear over time. The rod can be attached even if the shock wire is disconnected, but this will cause the rod to break. Therefore, when you use the tent center pole, you need to confirm whether there is any abnormality.
In strong wind or heavy snow, the tent center pole may be easily broken or bent, because the poles have limited bearing capacity, If there is snow on the tent, you can clean it up in time to avoid the tent center pole being crushed by snow.
To prevent the pole from breaking, you can use hooks to secure the storm protection pole. When setting up a tent, pull the tent cover wire away from the storm defense and attach it to the ground with hooks, which will spread the force on the poles and reduce the risk of the poles bending and breaking even in strong winds.
First aid method when the center pole of the tent is broken
If your tent pole breaks and you need first aid, the tools you'll need are repair pipes, duct tape, and a saw. If your poles are aluminum, you can buy aluminum pipes as repair parts, or you can use PVC pipes instead, aluminum pipes are used in the same way as PVC pipes. When buying PVC pipe, first measure the outer diameter of the tent pole, and then buy the PVC pipe with the inner diameter.
Take off the broken pole first, carefully remove the broken pole to avoid puncturing the tent, then cut the repair pipe (PVC pipe) with a saw to 10 to 15 cm, pass the broken pole through the repair pipe until the breakpoint is at the repair the center of the tube. In order to prevent the repair tube from sliding, you can wrap the repair tube on the left and right sides of the repair tube 5 to 6 times to complete the first aid.
